check-in was smooth. the rooms were thoughtfully designed. beds were comfortable!!! every staff member was attentive. they were genuinely committed to making my stay nice. i spent time in the parlor. it offered delicious food and drink options.
i found the air conditioning to be slightly inconsistent.

I had the chicken salad for lunch on the terrace. It was superb!!! for dinner, i enjoyed the pizzas. They were very tasty. breakfast offered many choices. i had peanut butter with banana on rye bread.

the room was large and well-equipped. it had fine views. the bathroom was stocked with cowshed toiletries. a welcome home-made cookie came with the room. there was also a snack box with crisps and chocolate.

the swimming pool includes a steam room. there is also a sauna. the hotel also features a jacuzzi and a full gym. the grounds are amazing. the trees are lit up like a fairy grotto at night.

the sunday breakfast included a 12.5% service charge. this felt excessive since you largely serve yourself. dirty cups from coffee were not removed.

the team at the hotel were great, friendly, and attentive. they remembered what drinks we were having and were always available.
i was really disappointed with my visit to the river house. for such a fantastic location and great potential i feel it's wasted. service felt really slack from certain servers and the toilets were unclean.

The hotel provided a king-sized bed and a separate seating area with armchairs and a sofa. a welcome homemade cookie was also a nice touch, i especially enjoyed the bath and shower stocked with cowshed toiletries, and i bought the body scrub. the hotel is fine, with many beautiful areas, and i found many places to sit and enjoy the surroundings.
the air-conditioning in the room was slightly temperamental! i suggest you check its operation upon arrival.

Lunch on the terrace included a superb chicken salad, and pizzas were available for the evening meal. Breakfast offered a wide choice, including options to order omelettes. i had a full english with peanut butter and banana on rye bread.

The staff were very professional and friendly. They provided excellent service. i found them helpful and accommodating at the front desk, in the bar, and in the restaurants, too. every staff member was kind and eager to assist with requests.
